Who watched the Oscars on Sunday? I watched every second of the E! News red carpet and the ABC red carpet. For someone who is very comfortable in her PJs, I love watching red carpet shows and seeing all the fashion, jewelry and makeup! This year, there were so many beautiful dresses! Lady Gaga in that Alexander McQueen gown and THE Tiffany & Co. yellow diamond. Wowza! She is the ultimate star! To top it off, her performance with Bradley Cooper was H-O-T! Those two have serious chemistry!
The Oscars were host-less this year but there were a lot of great moments. Adam Lambert and Queen got the show started. Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler pretended to be the hosts at the top of show. Maybe they will actually be the hosts next year. Melissa McCarthy and Brian Tyree Henry came out in their not so subtle costumes to present the Best Costume Design. Keegan Michael Peele literally flew in to introduce Bette Midler sing a song from Mary Poppins Returns. The big winners of the night were Regina King, Mahershala Ali, Rami Malek and Glenn Close, I mean Olivia Colman. Her win for best actress was the biggest shock of the night for me but she did give one of the best speeches.
Do you ever wonder what the stars eat at these award shows? Chef Wolfgang Puck has been catering this event for the past 25 years. This year’s Oscar’s menu included chicken pot pie with black truffles, crab deviled eggs, Miyazaki Wagyu beef tartare, and Nashville hot fried quail served on red velvet waffles. The raw bar had a selection of sushi and ceviche. Dessert included the famous 24 karat dusted chocolate Oscars. You had me at black truffle…..
My Waldorf Salad might have a fancy name but it sure is easy to make! Chop all the ingredients, toss them in a bowl with the mayo and dinner is served. If you don’t groove on curry, you can omit it. I’ll never know!
Enjoy my slightly tweaked version of the famous Waldorf Salad!

I love Waldorf salad. I’m going to pin this to refer to later. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
I have not had Waldorf salad in many years. I’d forgotten there was such a thing. I remember walnuts instead of pecans, but I remember I loved it. Time to make some of my own!!!!
Traditional Waldorf Salad doesn’t have curry in it either but I think it’s a great addition. I hope you love it!
